Privacy policy

No account, no ads, no tracking. Your progress never leaves your device.

Effective October 22, 2026

This policy explains what information the Atomaze app ("Atomaze", "we") handles and why. Atomaze is made by Burak Gökyüz, an independent developer. The short version: Atomaze has no accounts, no ads, no tracking and no analytics. Your learning stays on your device.

What stays on your device

Everything you do while learning is stored only on your iPhone or iPad, in the app's local storage (UserDefaults):

  • Learning progress: labs explored, lessons finished, quiz scores, XP, your level and your daily goal.
  • Streaks, streak freezes and badges.
  • Your onboarding answers: the name you choose to be greeted with, your level, goal, interests and daily pace. These are optional and every step can be skipped.
  • Your reminder setting.

We never receive this information. It is not uploaded, synced or shared, and it is included in your device backups only in the way iOS backs up any app's data.

Study reminders

If you turn on study reminders, Atomaze asks for permission to send notifications and schedules them as local notifications on your device. No push notification service or server is involved, and you can turn reminders off in Profile or in the Settings app at any time.

Purchases

Atomaze Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your name, Apple ID, email address or payment details. Apple's handling of your data is described in Apple's privacy policy.

We use RevenueCat, Inc. to manage subscriptions and check whether Pro is unlocked. For this, RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID generated by the app (not linked to your identity), purchase and receipt data from the App Store (such as product, price, currency, transaction dates and subscription status) and the device and app metadata needed to validate purchases (such as app version, operating system version, device model, country or region, and language). RevenueCat processes this data on our behalf to provide the service. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

What we don't do

  • No account or sign-in, and no email address collected.
  • No advertising, no ad networks and no advertising identifiers.
  • No analytics or tracking SDKs, and no tracking across apps or websites.
  • No selling or sharing of data for advertising, ever.
  • No access to your contacts, photos, location, camera or microphone.

Children's privacy

Atomaze is designed for students, including students under 13 using it with a parent's or teacher's involvement. Atomaze does not collect personal information from anyone, of any age: there is no account, no chat and no content shared with others. Purchases go through Apple, where Family Sharing and Ask to Buy let parents approve them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it.

Deleting your data

Because your progress lives on your device, you control it. Use Reset all progress in Profile to erase XP, streaks, quiz scores and badges, or delete the app to remove all of its data. Your subscription isn't affected and can be restored at any time. To ask RevenueCat to delete the anonymous purchase records linked to your app user ID, write to us and include your purchase date; we'll handle the request with RevenueCat.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the effective date above. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
