Terms of use
The rules for using Atomaze and buying Atomaze Pro, in plain English.
Effective October 22, 2026
These terms cover your use of the Atomaze app and this website. Atomaze is made by Burak Gökyüz ("we"). By downloading or using Atomaze you agree to these terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the Standard EULA), which applies to the app. If these terms and the Standard EULA conflict, the Standard EULA governs your license to the app.
The app
Atomaze is an educational chemistry app. A set of features is free, including every Foundations topic, the periodic table, the molar mass tool, the glossary and the daily challenge. Atomaze Pro unlocks the rest of the course, tools and Molecule Studio.
Atomaze Pro subscriptions and purchases
Atomaze Pro is offered as:
- Weekly: $1.99 per week.
- Monthly: $4.99 per month.
- Yearly: $24.99 per year, with a 1-week free trial for new subscribers.
- Lifetime: $49.99 one-time purchase.
- Prices are shown in US dollars; the App Store shows the price in your currency before you buy, and local prices and taxes may vary.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
- Weekly, monthly and yearly plans are auto-renewing subscriptions. A subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription in Settings > your name > Subscriptions, or at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
- The yearly plan includes a free trial for eligible new subscribers. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and you are charged. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- Lifetime is a one-time, non-consumable purchase that unlocks Pro for as long as the app is offered, with no renewals.
- Purchases are made through Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Restore purchases on a new device from the paywall or Profile with the same Apple ID.
Educational content
Atomaze is for learning. We work to keep its chemistry accurate at each level, but content is provided "as is" and may contain mistakes or simplifications; please report anything you find. Labs in Atomaze are simulations. They are not instructions for real experiments and are not a substitute for supervised laboratory work, safety training or a teacher's guidance. Never try a real experiment without proper supervision, equipment and safety precautions.
Acceptable use
Use Atomaze for personal, non-commercial learning, or with your students. Don't copy, resell, reverse engineer or redistribute the app or its content except as the law or the Standard EULA allows.
Intellectual property
The app, its lessons, labs, illustrations and the Atomaze name and icon belong to Burak Gökyüz. Element data comes from PubChem (National Center for Biotechnology Information), which is in the public domain.
Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, Atomaze is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law where you live.
Changes
We may update these terms as the app changes. We'll post the new version here with a new effective date. Continuing to use Atomaze after a change means you accept the updated terms.
